How do I know your answers are actually correct?

Two ways you can check yourself. Every explanation cites the official dbt docs section it comes from, so you can read the source rather than take our word. And many SQL questions ship a runnable proof cell that demonstrates the answer in a real database in your browser.

What's in the free readiness check?

Accepted Answer

Twenty questions, weighted the same way the real exam is, in about fifteen minutes. You leave with a readiness score and a per-topic weakness map — the same report the paid product gives you, on a smaller sample. Completely free, and it needs no card.

How is this different from the Udemy practice packs?

Accepted Answer

Three things the packs we reviewed don't do. They ship multiple choice only, so you never rehearse DOMC, build-list, matching or hotspot — formats the real exam uses. They have no clock and no pass mark, so you can't tell whether you're ready. And most were written for the older edition of the exam, so they still teach topics that were removed and miss what was added.

Can I see real questions before I pay anything?

Yes. The sample-question pages are free and completely ungated — every one shows the stem, the correct answer, why each wrong option is wrong, the documentation links, and for many of them a query you can run in the browser. No email, no account.

Do you have SnowPro / Databricks?

Not yet — dbt Analytics Engineering is the exam we've built first, and it's the only one live today. SnowPro is next, then Databricks. Every plan includes every exam we ship while your plan is active, so the annual plan covers what arrives during the year.

Is this the real exam's questions?

Accepted Answer

No — every question is original, written from the official study guide and documentation. Dump sites violate the exam agreement — and their answers are frequently wrong, with no way for you to tell which ones. Ours are cited and, where they're SQL, runnable.

What if the exam version changes?

Accepted Answer

We rewrite the affected questions and say what changed. The pack is built for the current edition — v1.11, published May 2026 — including microbatch incremental models, sample mode, the --empty flag, unit tests and YAML constraints. Prep written for the previous edition is still teaching topics dbt Labs removed.

What is DOMC, and why does it feel so strange?

Discrete option multiple choice. The options appear one at a time and you answer yes or no to each, without ever seeing the full list — and the question can end before you have seen them all. You cannot work backwards from the other options, which is exactly why the exam uses it and why almost no practice product rehearses it.

What happens if I fail the exam?

You get your last payment back, on the card you paid with, and you keep using the product free until you pass — up to six months. What we ask first is that you actually used it: at least 325 questions attempted and 2 full timed simulations, then your official score report within 14 days of the sitting. The whole policy is short, in plain language, and has no fine print. Separately, and needing none of that: Changed your mind? Full refund within 14 days of your first payment. No questions, no exit survey.

What exactly auto-renews, and how do I cancel?

Whichever plan you pick renews automatically at the same price until you cancel — monthly on the month, quarterly every three months, annual every year. Every price is on the pricing page. Cancelling takes two clicks in your account, needs no email to us, and you keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't do cancellation retention flows.

Does one subscription cover every exam?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There are no per-exam add-ons and no upgrade tier. One subscription covers every exam that is live while your plan is active, including the ones we publish during it. The only difference between the plans is how long your access runs.

Why do you ask for my email halfway through the free check?

Accepted Answer

Because that is how the report reaches you and how you get back in — we use no passwords. One report email, no spam, unsubscribe at any time. We don't sell or share it.

Question 13

Do I need an account to practise?

Accepted Answer

Not for the free readiness check or the sample questions — those work signed out. You need one for anything that has to remember you: Study Mode, the timed practice exams and your progress across attempts. There is no password to invent — we email you a six-digit code.

Question 14

Can you delete everything you hold about me?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and you don't have to give a reason. Ask, and we delete the account and its data. What we must keep afterwards is the payment record our merchant of record is legally required to hold.
